Opening the Good Eye
A 3-day Introduction to Contemplative Photography
LONDON, UK, May 10-13, 2012
Workshop Description:
Opening the Good Eye is an introduction to the discipline and delight of direct seeing and perception based photography. We begin to develop the ability to synchronize our mind and eye so that our habitual patterns of seeing and labeling dissolve in a moment of stunning vivid, perception.
During the course we will work with visual exercises and photographic assignments to explore the world of form. We develop confidence in our ability to connect directly with what we see, stay fully present with the perception as we fully understand its qualities, and then express our experience precisely with our cameras.
Workshop Details:
The workshop begins on Thursday Evening at 7.30 pm with an introductory talk and slide show. Friday through Sunday takes place from 9.15 am - 5.30 pm and includes visual exercises, field trips, assignments, talks and image reviews.
